In addition to the General Education requirements for Written Communication Skills (6 credits), Oral Communication Skills (3 credits) and Quantitative Skills (3 credits), the following must be completed.

Critical Reasoning Skills: (3 credits)
PHIL A101 Introduction to Logic

Ethical Theory: (3 credits)
PHIL A301 Introduction to Ethics

Applied Ethics: Complete 2 courses from the following (6 credits):
PHIL A302 Biomedical Ethics
PHIL A303 Environmental Ethics
PHIL A304 Business Ethics

Professional Ethics: Complete 1 course from the following (3 credits):
PHIL A405 Professional Ethics
BA A488 The Environment of Business
HUMS A412 Ethical Issues in Human Services Practice
PADM A618 Public Accountability, Ethics and Law
PSY A611 Ethics and Professional Practice

Note: Graduate courses taken to satisfy this requirement cannot also be counted towards a graduate degree in that program.

Service Learning: (3 credits)
PHIL A495 Service Learning in Applied Ethics

A total of 30 credits is required for the certificate.
